Dr Flint has been working as a veterinarian for over 20 years and is one of the most qualified animal behaviour experts in New Zealand. She has postgraduate qualifications in behavioural medicine, and has published several scientific papers.

Working as a veterinarian, Dr Flint is well qualified to detect any underlying medical problems that may be contributing to problem behaviour. She is also qualified to prescribe medication that may be required to treat anxiety based disorders and aggression.

Dr Elsa Flint

Dr Flint works as a veterinarian in small animal practice whilst also running the Animals with Attitude behaviour clinic. The clinic takes referral behaviour cases from other clinics in the Auckland area and beyond.

Dr Flint also lectures in animal behaviour at Massey University and for Vet Nurse Plus. She is co author of several books on animal behaviour and management and has published scientific papers in the field of animal
behaviour.

Dr Flint has an MSc (hons )in Behavioural Zoology, a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, and Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in animal behaviour. Recently she completed a PhD in Veterinary Science entitled The social significance of barking in dogs.

Behaviour Nurse/Assistant

Brooke McGregor

Brooke works as a senior veterinary nurse in a small animal practice whilst also assisting Dr Flint at Animals with Attitude behaviour clinic.

She has a Certificate in Veterinary Nursing (graduated 2013), Certificate in Animal Management – Canine Behaviour and Training (graduated 2012), Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services (completing) and is a Fear Free Certified Professional. She also enjoyed completing a Wildlife and Conservation Expedition in South Africa (2014).

She believes in 100% positive, reward-based training techniques. As a Fear Free Certified Professional, she is committed to preventing and alleviating fear, anxiety and stress in pets. o
